Telford is an utter shithole though. Saying that - there are a load of good trails round there once you get away from the undesirables.
I'm doing this this weekend - not quite as grimy but still a fair bit of climbing...

Is anyone here doing the Dragon Ride this year? If so, and you're driving, fancy helping a forumunger out?
In return for giving me a lift, you'd get the following:

Petrol money

Classic.
Categorically proves an asshole is an asshole no matter their mode of transport or object stuck up their arse.

This made me lol out loud.

Ha. I saw this earlier in the day without sound - it seemed a lot more dramatic that way, but with sound I think it's funnier. A great comment from below that article - "You can tell a Yorkshireman, but you can't tell him much"!

I'm riding a sportive in Worcester, my home town, this weekend. Riding with a couple of old mates who are new to cycling and hoping it will be a laugh.
To add to the atmosphere I have attached a Bluetooth speaker under my saddle.
Will this annoy the hell out of sportive mamils?

Anyone done the Mallorca 312 before?
http://www.mallorca312.com -
• #2221
312 isn't as good as the 167 (believe it or not) the mountains are the best part, and if you do the 312 it takes ages to get to the cols so to speak, I'm gonna do the 167 next year, also the 312 will bollox you.
-
• #2222
No, but I'm thinking of doing it next year as I sit here in Mallorca having a beer...
-
• #2223
Eh? The mountains come first.
-
• #2224
also the 312 will bollox you
I doubt it.

Compared to the Alpenbrevet Platintour it looks eminently doable.
Its quite rolling, a lot of 4/5% drags, but one or two nits go up to about 12/15% at a guess
