Those older french made carbon Look frames were/are so nice to ride.
To be honest, the 2x7 speed 'groupset' fitted on the bike was a bit shit and heavy - 105 chainset / Suntour Accurist RD / Shimano Santé FD / Maillard 7 speed freewheel / Simplex steel DT shifters.

I agreed that it would have looked better modernised (a la @Roboto ), perhaps with a 105 5800 11 speed compact groupset.
Anyway, built it for a friend would wanted a singlespeed so that's that done for now. He has all the original parts so the case isn't lost!

It does sound like it need some new cabling, few tweak and the like, but what done is done.
Meh.
If it had been Shimano 600 / Campagnolo equipped, I would not have converted it.
