I turned two road bikes into singlespeed this weekend.
First one is a 1992 Look KG176, 52cm in original burgundy. Originally 2x7 speed with DT shifters. Nice 25mm Miche aero seatpost. Before
After
Flipped the rear axle and re-dished the wheel. Usual single chainring bolts. New Tektro aero levers/tape/cables. Running 51x18. [LOOK has been sold]
Second one is a 1978 Motobecane in 56cm which has a 531 sticker but was unfortunately just a 20-40 frame.
Originally running 2x6 speed on tubs with non-aero brake levers. Lovely sparkly light purple / pink - ish / mauve colour.
Before
I used the Saccon aero levers from the Look, new tape/cables/brake pads.
Regreased headset / BB / wheel bearings.
New half link chain and saddle.
I also had a spare Push seatpost in 26.2mm so use that instead of the quill one.
