  • That is seriously cool.

  • good one! of its many incarnations was the same: silver ofmega, charcoal rims and gumwalls, brown ribbon and black saddle.. classy with a hiphop componentry touch! enjoy!

  • Ready for the first ride... Minus a proper wheelset.

  • Just won a Pegoretti on eBay - fark. It is bare at the moment - hoping to tempt @hoops to do something rad with paint.

  • Are you laughing at my chances of getting it painted by Bobby?

  • 650b lulz MTB done; tried to maintain the american theme as much as I could. Nitto Bullmoose, Paul comp, white ind etc. Sunrace thumbie, 1x9 with Shimano Acera. Such fun kerb hopper.

  • finished and tested, rusty mean green gazelle is ready to roll through winter! (phone pic doesn't show colours of bartape and saddle do match)

  • That is freaking awesome amey.

  • Waiting for a new extra long seatpost to arrive to put onto the Mayfair folder. Then it's road saddle time. The old sprung saddle isn't great and the height isn't enough anyway.

Really keen to convert the front end of the Mayfair into a more comfortable shape. Beautiful as it is, it's way too twitchy with the old school risers, need more reach.

Problem is I'm not sure if I can remove the old grips (one side is a grip shifter for the 3 speed shimano sturmey style hub), and if they'll just fit on the bottoms of drops or the ends of bullhorns.

First I'll need to find some way of getting longer reach and good height from the old style stem/steerer assembly. Reach is about zero. Long reach isn't available in extra long height.

    Trying to resist upside-down drops.

Also, looking to replace the original brakes, which are on their last legs with limited spring left.

First big problem is the steerer/stem thing. French stem apparently, and the crazy small clamp size.

  • Just get a regular stem and get out the sandpaper.

  • For the paint it's a surprise ahah! The laquer is from a french shop, I don't know if you can find this in uk

    Some new stuff

  • I hated those Paul comp brakes, could never seem to get them right. Got a pair of silver ones if anyone's keen..?

  • Why could I get along with them..? I find the set up a hassle, fine tuning was fiddly and mine seemed to lose their way after about a month so I had to go through the whole process again... From extensive Googling and as far as I can tell they are marmite.

  • Gonna do that no problem for getting something to fit in the frame, but the height is a pain, or I'll be in ultra lo pro mode.

  • Love it!!! Great job!!

  • o rly? I actually found them much easier to set up than other V/mini-V .. such genius simple design!

    Thanks @kifla @psee
It serves a great purpose of getting coffee etc.

  • This one?

Looks nice. Other than paint what are your plans?

Also you know No Quarter are doing a paint giveaway, a Pegoretti would probably have as good a chance of winning as anything else.

(I guess he was laughing at the idea of having a Peg and having someone else do a nuts paint job on it.)

  • Current project is a Cervelo Soloist frame...

The original plan was to simply buy the frame-set and build up with full 105 5800. I like the look of the black shimano group and the wheels I have for this are already 11sp compatible so I figured I may as well go modern and get another couple of gears.

However, I ended up buying the semi complete bike with a mix of DA 7900 (shifters, chainring, RD) and ultegra 6700 (FD and brakes).

Do I go with the original plan and strip the frame and build it up with 11sp 105? Or do I go with the easy option of making the current 10sp set up rideable?

If I strip the frame, most of the components will move over to my TT bike wherever they will represent an upgrade on the current mixed group (mostly FSA/Tektro/ultegra mix). Also the new 105 group will allow me to chose slightly shorter cranks.

Also the fork isn't original, so if anyone has a black 3T Funda for sellz then I might be interested.
