Can you elaborate a little on this?

The clocks went back last week so suddenly it's pitch black in the evening when the previous day it was light.

We don't cope well with changes like these in the UK. See also train cancellations over 3cm snow, Brits stocking up on 3 weeks worth of toilet roll because the weather forecast says it'll be windy over the bank holiday weekend, etc etc.

IT'S ALL SO DIFFERENT AND WE HAVE NO WAY OF ANTICIPATING THESE THINGS
