Also handle like poo when you carry even more stuff on it making it redundant.

What edscoble said, part of making suspension work well is adjusting it to the riders weight, if you add 1/2 the riders weight again it's all ruined and most will just bottom out under cargo weights.

Okay, though my kit only weighs 15kg max, and some air suspension would mean I could change it depending on the weight I'm carrying?
My though process is sus forks for bumps and potholes, and a rack with built in elastomers for the vibrations. Double protection.

Suspension is shite on roads, one of the reasons the good off road forks cost so much is trying to make them ok at the small stuff while working on the big stuff. Just get bigger tyres.

Can you not also change tyres pressure to compensate as well?
BTW, what bike was it again and what tyres are you running?

Why not go for some elastomer forks and a 4" tyre on the front? Carry the vibration sensitive stuff on the front and just bolt the tougher stuff on a rear rack.
You'd need to control the urge to vomit every time you saw the bike and probably invest in a Men in Black neuraliser thing for anyone that saw you riding it...

That Scandinavian CF one is amazing! If I have anymore children, I'd certainly get one!

Just landed a job in a cargo bike shop in Oslo, mostly working with workcycles but also a good few edgerunners and the occasional big dummy. There's a sidecar base in the storage just begging to be built into something fun like these when I get the time!

Took our second ebullitt for a test ride yesterday, built in shimano steps motor and di2 alfine 8 speed. Sadly limited to 25kph but lots of fun leaving everyone behind at traffic lights!

I can't imaging how easy it is to stop at a higher speed!

Nice one Shane, great news!

Thanks, very interesting.

Set the wheel size down to like 16inch and the "speed" changes...

Not strictly cargo.

Waow - I can't imagine serious use of that for any length of time.

I can't imagine that the kind of weight you'd be carrying would make too much of a difference to the steering.
I also don't think the suspension will make a great deal of difference to the amount of vibrations from the road.
