I've read that too... apparently was a last batch of the earlier model, and these have been redesigned... fingers crossed!
will probably go with black Sapim Race spokes but gonna talk to Sam too about this...love the look of these
I'll be rocking 32h both wheels so 3x front and rear, as +Turkish suggested (and I've ridden in the past on the Somec with my 32h/32h 3x Record to Open Pro, have had no issues whatsoever)

Ha! That wheelset is on my shopping list for summer. SL23s are competing with some crabon rims though. One builder I was talking to (DCR Wheels) seems to have withdrawn the SL23 due to QC issues or something - not sure how widespread that is, most people seem to get along with them from what I've read.
Look forward to hearing how they go!
