I fear you over estimate Chelsea's popularity. Every single person I spoke to that season would rather have seen Liverpool lift the title.
That will be an easy £10 so of course I will take it -

Arf, the only people who wanted Liverpool to win it were Liverpool fans. Everyone else I know would rather an ISIS invitational XI won anything ahead of Liverpool FC.

I wanted football to win and with that little slip it did.

Anyway, Blatter's latest interview is amazing - saying he's not corrupt while admitting there was a prior agreement for Russia and USA to have the next two World Cups and blaming France for breaking the gentleman's agreement. It's real next level stuff. Proper Berlusconi-brazen.

You should never put something to an internal vote that you did not know the answer to in advance

I don't know anyone on the face of the earth (other than their deluded, maniacal fans) who wanted Liverpool to win.
I'd nearly always rather see a London club (obviously other than Tottenham) win the league.

and we're off
still lacking a few goals but a win is a win -

Oh dear. Dat side. And another loss. Jeepers.

I guess the producers of half and half scarves don't sell their own produce. Especially if they're making so much out of it.

This will have Clive choking on his organic fair-trade muesli.

@andyp @Manc_Ronnie there are not enough envelopes or chevrons in the world.

Belfast Telegraph have always had the inside track on Chelsea - the old Combat 18 / Rangers supporters' club links, innit?
-
• #120068
Funny as it might be I can't see it happening. Why would you sack a manager and get his protege in. You would want a proper change, not just a worse version of what you already have.
-
• #120069
Moyes then? He's got big club experience.
Though I don't think his clubs have ever finished as low down as Chelsea are set to.

Please please please please please

Sherwood to Chelsea, surely?
Am I doing this right?
-
• #120072
Very good Clive but please don't mistake me as being from Barnet. That's as insulting as me saying you are from Hackney!
-
• #120073
Have we ever established who you support Matt and whether that support accord with The Rules (or as damo likes to say TEH RULZE)
-
• #120074
No, you need to link up to a fairly obscure news website.
Or C&P vast amounts of shite from the fucking Guardian.

Talking of sacked managers, Dougie Freeman is rumoured to be available soon. Nige to lead the men in tights.
There needs to be more diversity in sports, more so in Europe. Not just on a coaching level. What about boardrooms, referees etc.
The Fifa presidential candidates don't give me much hope for change.
