Painted a pair of FKR's last weekend.
Mockup is based on Mercurial / another custom pair I've come across, which had the swoosh in the same place. I'm now toying with the idea of adding the text on the inside like the actual Mercurial.
Thoughts?

Funny...I just did the mid on some Oreos. Wanted a black mid on these for ages. Wanted to murder out the swoosh too but it's so tricky to do well.
Swoosh looks sprayed on with a stencil - that what you did Bjorn?

On another note, looks like I have most of a day to kill in Shanghai on Thursday. Anyone got any trainer (or otherwise) tips for Shanghai? Never been!!

How did you do this? Have you done it before? Does it stand the test of time?

Not the biggest fan of unicoloured midsoles on fkr's tbh, because they seem to lose the 'racey' illusion they normally have.
Did you just use Angelus paint? If it doesn't hold you might try an alcohol based marker.
I haven't sprayed on the swoosh or text yet, that's just Photoshop. I did remove the original swoosh as good as possible up front though, but you can still slightly see it.

Rather than order online, I really need to try things on due a medical issue - is there an NB store in town? I can't find one online, just a suggestion of Oxford St 2016.

I know what you mean about the mono-midsole but I'm pretty happy with them. Lunar is obviously really flexible, so it'll be interesting to see how it holds. Seems like all customisation paint is acrylate-based. So water soluble initially then supposedly flexy when dry. I used the sneakersER midsole pen. Very easy. Supposedly specially formulated for midsoles but wonder if it's any different from leather paint.
