Off topic but did you get that Goldsprint through? That looks like a fun frame.

I can confirm, the makino is super fun!
Loving a spinny 50-19 on the road and 50-15 at Herne Hill last week felt just about right!

Some people like having a higher gear.
This is true, but they usually go for something between 70-80GI (67GI is the recommended), not ninety fucking one gear inches.

That'll do, pig.

So my Bridgestone frame and most of my parts finally left the lovely people at customs and arrived on my doorstep this morning. Got a few bits still to get, but couldn't help a quick build this afternoon to to see how its going to look...

so NJS vs CK headset? Am i right in thinking my forks will be JIS and headset will be ISO? Can i just file off the crown race to get it to fit?
-
• #946
Thought that NJS parts were ISO.
Cranks are at least. -

BBs not HS
-

Forks might be 27.0 (jis) rather then 'campag standard' 26.4. Get some calipers on them.
I got Argos to mill down the forks on one bike to fit a campag record hs. On another I fitted some unsealed NJS headset (Tange I think, from Tokyo Fixed).
CK headsets are the shit - so I'd say get the forks milled.

Ah, assumed that all the bits were.

like miro said, njs frames got the smaller standard on headsets, i need to work hard to fit a campa headset on a njs frame :)
All my NJS is fun.
