Utobeer are in borough market. -

Wow! Thanks for those, only there for 5 days so those should keep me busy, especially after a week drinking PBR in Florida (maybe that should be in the I confess thread...)

Manchester beer folks, Beer Moth are opening a cafe. @cafebeermoth on twitter. Exciting.

Drank my Gourd Standard last night. It's good, think I prefer The Fear out the two of them.
-
• #4358
That's strange! Coffee-themed beers or is it so that they can serve food too?
-
• #4359
Probably easier to open a cafe that also sells beer than a pub. Planning consent etc. Just my guess though, may be different reason.

A customer dropped in a beer today from Bottle Logic Brewing. It's a bourbon barrel aged spiced pumpkin beer (nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves). Tastes like a chai tea. Defo one to watch fireworks with in the cold. Spices were spot on, not overpowering or powdery. Got no bourbon from it though.
I really like that Adnams Mosaic.

The Adnams Sorachi Saison they brew for M&S with my wife's staff discount applied is really nice.
-
• #4363
They also do a dry hopped lager which is nice

The other half is a fan of porter/stout and 'weird' beers so we're celebrating her birthday with a bottle of Indra Kunindra by Ballast Point. It's an India-style export stout brewed with madras curry, cumin, cayenne, coconut and kaffir lime. Sounds pretty grim but somehow works.

I've also had an enjoyed habanero sculpin by the same brewery, which is a hop/chilli beer. That was excellent.
-
• #4369
Yeah I saw that in your fridge and thought it might be a bit too weird for me

Had a Tactical Nuclear Penguin tonight.
Much nicer than the Sink The Bismarck I have to admit.
-
• #4371
Did not like. It was a nice IPA and then heated up like I'd licked a chilli. All kinds of wrong.
