Good close racing today.
Not the start I'd hoped for as someone in front of me crashed trying to hop the barriers ahead of me on the first lap and caught my rear brake sending the pad underneath the rim. Luckily I sorted it pretty quickly and gaps at that point were pretty small so I didn't expend too much energy getting back to the front.
It got pretty tactical in the last few laps and we slowed down a fair amount. The one big disadvantage of single speed on a course like today is it limits where you can attack (and you'll never win a sprint, but that's not going to happen with me anyway) but I managed to clip in straight after the barriers on the hill, went for it and got enough of a gap.
