  • Oh. I probably would have bashed it out with a rock or something. Collateral damage.

  • Want to try this CX. Just need heart to behave

How does wife find the pro6?

  • Pro6 is rad, real nice.

  • The leatherman squirt has decent pliers in a very small multitool http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leatherman-Squirt-PS4-Tool-Black/dp/B003J37BHK/

  • An update on the Ripley Castle race in January. They're incorporating a Single Speed race in the Go Cross/Novice event which also runs in conjunction with the Youth Race. That means it will probably be a busyish field but no more than most people are already used to.

However, there will be a prize for the first mono-geared rider across the line.

The course is usually a stunner and entry into the Go Cross is a paltry £10. I reckon if enough people ride single speed then a) the winner can claim the SSCX National Champs (unofficial)* title and b) some other stand alone/showcase events could be persuaded to put up a SS category as well.

*perhaps you could even sneak some RWB stripes somewhere on your jersey.

  • Have now entered via the power of the internet

  • Assume that means it'll be a shortened race? I guess I could always enter seniors and that.

Mud tyres might get their first outing tomorrow if the rain comes this afternoon.

  • where about in Addington park is tomorrow's sign on?

  • Corner of Gravel Hill and Kent Gate Way.

  • Last year it was just by the entrance to the onsite car park, at the junction of Gravel Hill and Kent Gate Way. If you look on google maps there is a little spur road into the park by the roundabout, enter there and it'll probably be on your right.

  • thank you both

  • Clement pdx plus latex for tmrw yeah?

  • They're tracers on ATM. And I don't have a chain whip to remove the cassette that should be on there but is actually on a different wheels right now.....

  • Back to plan a then. I doubt it'll be as bad as last year, where it rained the morning of the race, but it's been quite wet this week so they'll be some mud.

  • I've got a working from home day on Monday. Is it worth doing tubeless and Michelin mud?

  • Weak sidewalls - I'd go for something tubeless specific.

  • FMB supermud in green compound are freaking amazing.
    That is all.

  • Well done @Jon. and @andyp - great performances today.

Enjoyed that course, just wish I could have caught the group in front of me before the line.

  • Assume Jon won? How did @andyp go?

That was tough. Lost all the battles I was involved in, mainly due to grounding on the second of the little bumps every lap. Still fun though, in retrospect.

  • That course seemed better than summertime. I stacked it on the first lap at the double ramp thing. Made sure I didn't again. Learned I should only use rear brake by lap 5....

  • I raise you with
