Can you guys recommend a 'regal' fragrance?
I'm thinking more 'classy intellectual' rather than 'the person wearing the crown'.
Floris, has to be. http://www.florislondon.com/gbp/ -

I'm big on dior's Vètiver for everyday useage. Guelain's was too woody.

I generally give people chutney (not a euph) for midwinter fest. Homemade presents always win.

Tobacco Rose from http://papillonperfumery.co.uk is the one for me.

Orange Swarfega smells quite nice.

Trumper's Limes for a daily splash - not too much, mind. At a push as a daytime scent, Penhalligon's Blenheim Bouquet.
Anything stronger is a little gauche - Kouros for a new generation.

Just got a bottle in the post well cheap. It's great. It terms of age percetion:
Guerlain > Dior > Tom Ford

I had a bottle of the Lanvin Vetiver at one time, unfortunately discontinued a long time ago, and it was absolutely gorgeous... Made Guerlain's effort seem like Brut 66 by comparison...

There are that many variations on it...
I find it impossible to write a description without reading it back in that Patrick Bateman monologue style...But I will say if you're after
a purer, greener, vetiver smell: Dior.
Fresher citrus vibe: TF
Deep middle aged singleton redhead: Guerlain -

Joe, Miller Harris in CG do a Vetiver called Vetiver Boubon I think. Have you tried that?

For anyone, like myself, who had seemingly existed in a Vetiver-free environment,
until now. -

El DethWife bought me Spicebomb for my birthday, surprisingly nice.
Bit vanilla-y. -

not a patchouli fan, but can appreciate it. the tom ford range has quite strong persistence too
-
• #223
I like white patchouli - black orchid is just a bit too feminine but white patchouli settles down and becomes more woody

Anyone wear Masion Margiela -Jazz Club?

Never heard of it. Whence did you get it?
Regal suggests a bit of opulence. YSL M7, perhaps. But, there are many ways to be a king.
