Mario Vaz resprays & repairs

Hello everyone,

would anybody here happen to know if Mario Vaz (in Hither Green?) still paints frames or offers repairs?

I recently picked up a Joe Waugh frameset which was previously refinished by Mario Vaz, it hasn't been built up since the restoration but I've found a small dent on the fork that I'd like to get brass filled and then re-finished to the same colour so the bike looks ok.

Mercian have offered to do this for a reasonable price (free postage this month apparently) - whether they can match the colour remains to be seen, but I can't seem to track down Mario Vaz...his old website seems to be gone.

Do you know if Mario is still active? If you have a phone number or email address please let me know.... :)

also it would be a good idea to relpace couple of digits with worded numbers so that he doesnt get all the text sam there is.

Don't want to be a pain, but............ got a paint jod done by himself a wee while ago, the paint job in its self was fine just .......... the paint was brittle and kept chipping off. I surpose if you pay £50 that's what you get. In saying that there is this company in Berkhamstead who do a powder coat job for £50 and they are fantastic. I've had four frames done by them so far and can't complain.

If I can remember they are J&G just off Billet lane Northchurch/ Berkhamstead Herts.

Have a look at one of my threads under 'my clamont' this is one of their powder coat jobs.

Hi @Aaron76, did you ever get Mario Vaz to repair and paint a frame? I need a repair done on a steel frame, and just a bit of cover up paint not bothered about a full paint job so looking for somewhere cheap! Tried calling the number above but not getting through atm. Thanks
