Mavic Ellipse - difficulty tightening and loosening axle nuts

Hi all... can anyone help with a Mavic Ellipse problem? Essentially I'm finding them gradually more and more difficult to loosen and tighten when taking them in and out. The axle spins with the nut. I can just about do it by going from side to side a mm loosening a mm at a time. Anyone any ideas? I've heard it's a Mavic characteristic. Thanks for any advice.

Just use some vaseline on threads regularly or you end up breaking the axle (happened to a friend). On my ellipses I faced the same problem but greasing the threads well works especially as I rode to velodrome with one gear and changed gear there by flipping the wheel.
