Ouch. Fire Road detour much safer ;)

Depends on what stage you're at, I guess.
I found the later segments, such as those on energy management, the psychology of riding, under rotation versus over rotation, etc, very useful.
Out of many of the skills development videos I've seen Richard Kelly is one of the few who emphasise the psychological skillset as the main foundation of the physical. I found the series excellent. -

Enjoyed today, a Red/Black mix lap then lunch followed by "Black" in full (as best allowing for one trail section closure), including that boardwalk without bailing. Got tired towards end of that lap. Played on pump track at 'degla and in Treuddyn on way home. Fun.
Here's Snowdon view, my favourite resting spot.

Awesome! That steep drop onto the second boardwalk must have been difficult without front suspension to soak it up as well.

Cheers, you mean the B-line entry? I previously had a big mental block on that (to the point of walking down and climbing on) but today I rolled in twice fine, hex lifted I hope.

Nice. Glad you had a good trip. Still haven't been to Llandegla, hopefully will go next year.

How steep do you want to go? For me the riding in both these vids is too fucking steep:

That first one had me leaning back in my chair.

It's worth a trip, unless you're allergic to 3 mile climb warm-ups...

Which you did on SS?
Twice ;)
Tbh isn't very steep up any of that section.
There was a fair bit of hike a bike on steeper stuff on the 2nd lap, my legs were cooked.

I googled 'Remy Metailler' and found this....
O.o
He's quite good, innit.

• #7722
It's pretty crazy. And we were to see it in real life it would look far fucking worse. :-/
-
• #7723
He's not bad, yeah.

Anyone got a link to a good XC route around Surrey Hills? I often ride Peaslake but I'd like a longer route that links the good stuff together.

How long a route are we talking about? Maybe come out on this ride next Saturday, you can perhaps have a route then:

I'll be looking to link as much singletrack as possible that day from Pitch Hill to Winterfold.
Jut don't do what the second rider on this video does on the rigid and you will be all good. It looks a little painful.
