  • I've been wearing them for over 20 years and never had a problem with the sole. (I do a lot of walking when I'm not cycling.)

    You could always try putting some Superfeet or similar in them?

  • Just find my feet ache quite a lot in them, feel like they lack support and/or cushioning, and I can feel everything through the sole. Not the most endearing way to spend days on my feet..

  • If you have high arches, get some orthotic insoles. The regular Vans' insole is definitely lower quality than it used to be (like in the 'Made in the USA' days). Yep, I'm old.

    For future comfort, disregard advice pointing you in the direction of the 'lite' models, and stick to the pro models with the Ultracush insole. They're pretty dece for cycling with platform pedals, etc.
