Highlight and quote works too.

Which means whatever you're experiencing is not going to be fixed... it works.
This was a fresh install of Windows and Chrome.
Maybe it's something Windows related, in which case why not upgrade to the latest version? Isn't Windows 10 free?
-
• #5604
It is likely to be system related as it work perfectly well in other system, the computer is an Alienware.
I'd love to upgrade Windows 10, but I rather wait as last I did it, it's not quite right and cause some issues, so at some point I'm gonna clone everything then upgrade to 10.

I love how you hold back the critical information until after it's been investigated.
Yes, it's system related if it works everywhere except that one machine.

That I do not know because the only machine I've used Windows on is mine (work computer are Macintosh).

lol
Buttons all work for me on Win10 in both Firefox and Edge, and also did always work with Firefox in Win7.

Note I posted a bug about the formatting buttons, up thread. It was confirmed by another poster. About them firing in response to drag events on mobile.
Probably not related, but there is something funky with them.

Ah,. maybe it's the touch screen than scoble has.

Now I don't Lisp or Scheme or Clojure, but did anyone ever write a forum in some kind of Lisp?
-
• #5615
HackerNews is written in ARC Lisp: https://github.com/arclanguage/anarki/
They had real issues with a lot of their caching and object dependencies, but have managed to tune the hell out of it with a lot of flat file caches.

I press the formatting option on the touchscreen, and it actually work.
Least this help narrow the problem down to the Windows 10 Touch.
-
• #5617
I'll tell you what.
If you buy me a Surface Book, I'll find and fix the issue as best I can.
-
• #5619
(Disclaimer) I'm hoping that helping to fix this will help to get my issue fixed. Selfish motivated altruism FTW.

Do you have a mouse?
It appear that it only work with a touchscreen, but when using the trackpad or the mouse, it doesn't work.
I'll get the spec.

Ed, if you go to chrome://flags in your browser
... and find the "Enable Touch Events" setting
... and change that setting from "automatic" to "enabled", does that help at all?
There's a known bug in Chrome with Windows 10 and the Chrome devs seem to think that all input problems with that software combination are related to it. Seems a bit of a longshot, but it's worth a try.
-
• #5622
Actually seemed plausible, will check.
-
• #5624
Jebus, you have to disable all touch events entirely just to get trackpad taps working?! Sort your shit out, Google.

Good work team.
