  • This makes me want to buy an Xbox one. That and what I hear about integration with W10. Microsoft appear to be doing things right...

  • sure I can do the same with my PS4... but you don't get anywhere near the graphics levels that my PC does (or even my PS4 for that matter).

I've played Witcher 3 on PS4 and PC. PC shits all over PS4/Xbone. It just looks so much better, and full 1080p 60fps with hairworks etc...

Oh and I paid ~19 quid for it, not 59. I did the math, and yes PC is more expensive, but at the end of the year if I'd bought the games for console it would have cost me more than PC+games.

  • Only reason I have a PS4 is for Uncharted :)

  • Anyone with 3DS who was thinking getting new Zelda Triforce Heroes?

I'll be getting this together with my brother and looking for a 3rd player to join us.

    Anybody?

  • Trollface.jpg

    :)

  • I answered on purpose ;)

That said, why the fuck cannot Steam client do this automatically ?!

  • Cheers, I'll have a look at that.

  • the R9 380 is £150, so you can use this table to gauge how much you're willing to spend for performance. For example, I would stretch to an r9 290 if possible, this is a relative bargain - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-Vapor-X-Graphics-Express-Display/dp/B00LTOWAUO/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1445523642&sr=1-2&keywords=r9+290

  • Cheers, that's all pretty useful. Now to decide how much I want to spend (and ensuring they all fit in my case).

  • The jump between GTX 980 and 980 Ti is massive.

Least I know it's not really worth going for the GTX 980 over the GTX 970.

  • The jump between GTX 980 and 980 Ti is massive.

Yup, and without that much of a price difference.

  • I don't think £300 would be considered a slight difference.

  • chucking both in google shows about a £90-£150 price difference.

  • Ah, I was comparing the PNY one.

  • gtx 980 - £390
    gtx 980 ti - £530

    That's £140 difference.

An R9 270x is £140. So you actually get more frames per pound going from a 390 to 390 ti than from a r9 270x to a 390.

  • Ah that where the confusion lie.

I was comparing the price with the GTX 970.

  • Got paid today so Fallout 4 has been pre-ordered finally. really wish i could plax FO3 on the xbox one already so I could revisit it before hand.

  • If you got a PC, Fallout 3 is £7.50 (GOTV edition).

  • Is anyone planning on getting on the VR hype?

  • Tempted to get a Rift next year but if I want to use it for games, i'll need a gaming PC. They're Mac compatible but only for videos / pre-rendered stuff.

There are rumblings that the release of No Man's Sky on the PS4 will be accompanied by Sony's version. This will sell a lot of units if true.

  • Steam?
Is it a FPS with RPG like Borderlands?

  • Bootcamp? My iMac is awesome for games...

  • No Man's Sky on Morpheus would be so unbelievably rad. Having had a go on a couple of VR sets I can definitely see the appeal, although maybe not for the price tag on release.

  • if gaming companies could come up with focal tracking for 3d applications to adjust depth of field based on where you look it would be one of the biggest game changers in the industry ever, but 3d with fixed depth is always going to be jarring and unrealistic as it feels like your eyes are not working properly and can't focus on what you're actually looking at.

  • I've got a Mac Mini. It's quad core i7 w/ 32Gb of ram but it's only got discreet graphics. Never going to manage 60fps on two simultaneous screens.

If i'm going to buy one, i'll make sure i can use it to its fullest.

@spiderpie "playstation VR" as it's now boringly known, shouldn't be too expensive and as the hardware is consistent, development will be a lot smoother than Rift etc. Exciting.
