sore (left) legs after SQT?

  • bit of random one.... after some of my SQTs, and during subsequent sport massage, notice that my left leg is considerably more sore than my right.
    Has anyone else had any such issues?
    any thoughts on causes?

    maybe because I'm applying more pressure with left leg during the turns due to banking?

    Lol. No. It's most likely a fit problem.

  • Which part of the leg? Probably just a muscle imbalance.

  • What kind of sore? Muscular? Tendon? In the joints or in the muscle?

    What Dan said- saddle too high? Cleats set up right? Bars too low?

    If fit is checked out OK are you aware of any significant strength imbalance between your left and right leg? Single leg press will show this up if you have access to one?

  • ..all of the above + do you try to slow down by back pedalling - if so do you use your left leg first?

  • I used to get this and went to the physio for a verdict. As mentioned above I had a right / left imbalance so was given left leg exercises to do and it sorted out. Also, stretching generally keeps niggles at bay.
