  • bikeCAD is very pricey for messing around with, but it is what a large majority of frame builders use, and when you compare it to the mind boggling cost of some autodesk programmes, I think it offers great value for money for 'professionals' like me. My point is, The free offering was a cool little thing, but don't be too pissed off, as they offer an awesome programme, which makes a lot of peoples lives so much easier, for a lot less than they could charge.

    So my actual point is don't be pissed off that you have lost something you enjoyed using, because I still get it at a discounted rate, and I don't want that to change. As you were. No moaning though.

  • Thanks to my favourite computer wizard, I can still get the free version to work, via a combination of IE8 and an older version of Java.

    The only downside to this ( for me ), is that I've now designed enough new bikes to potentially see your children through college.
