Downtube is bent mate.
damned, that's why it was so cheap!!
But it's steel so I can bend it in the opposite direction just like that.
@mk1mark no 650b, no 29 but good old 26". I have a crossbike for the flat and I don't have the ambition any more to go fast(er) when in "real" mountains. 26" is fun and got this one pretty cheap.

moto lite yeah .. not too fussed tbh. I have some black Paul canti levers that I bought by mistake if you are keen; apparently best short pull flat bar levers money can buy.

could fit 47mm smart sam barely to the front also (now 45mm/1.8" specialized renegade), but this leaves enough room for mud.

touch stuff pre 2006
I was in a 'Dale retailers yesterday, Gent said to bring and he will send to NL distributors who will apraise it technically then give me a quote to repair, said it should not be expensive
Extra digit added to price by mistake.
that ole' chestnut
-
• #104638
Are you in NL? If not, I'd hit Craig up in the US. Although I can see the attraction of posting something to Europe rather than the US, I'd be surprised if the NL distro didn't simply look at it, say "gosh, that's old", and send it back to you. I don't know for certain, but I suspect the pre 2006 thing is not TF's choice.
said it should not be expensive
Hope so. What's wrong with it?
-
• #104639
yeah, I need a setback version of that post.

The retailer rang me after speaking to the distributor, having stated model and year, dist then said send frame and they will quote, so I would be suprised if they did knock it back after that
U.S. alternative is a nice idea, but would be expensive shipping there and back given the cost of the frameWhat's wrong with it?
no idea, this i why i contacted 'dale folk

also,that fucking dent
-
• #104642
Yeah that dent is a bummer. Keep an eye on it.
If the fork cycles smoothly, holds air and the lock-out works you are golden, no need to do anything. Make sure there are no holes in the rubber boot, too, or when it rains your fork will die. Check out my Lefty thread - that's what your fork looks like, inside the steerer.
My experience with 'dale distrubutors is that usually they know less than me, so take their advice with a pinch of salt :)
