Search for "shimergo": there's a thread on here, but the definitive resource is on the CTC site.
It's possible in fairly limited circumstances, but if you're on a budget I think you'll find it cheaper just to get Campag shifters.
Campag wheels will almost certainly have a Campag freehub (it's only quite recently that they've offered a Shimano option), so require a Campag cassette.
I've got 8 speed shifters and a cassette for pocket money prices (mechs too) if you get stuck.

Trying to build something up with odds and ends. Got campag wheels. Does that mean I need to use campag cassette? Got campag mechs, will they work alright with shimano shifters?
