But, I suppose, the real question is that now all the oil has fallen out of it, HOW MUCH DOES IT WEIGH?
-
• #2978
It weighs what it did previously, minus the weight of the oil it has leaked out.

Lovely! Though I would change to spider-rings...

my Lefty 2.0 has gone off to TF
Should come back better than new, after they've seen to it :-)

It is, a great value.

Yeah, you would hope so.
I chatted to Mendon about it. Seems like the upper seal has failed dumping the oil bath on to my floor. Additionally, the bearing pre-load is too tight. The first issue is apparently rare, the second, not so. Which means Cannondale is having some epic QC issues.
My problem now is that there are very few people in London who a) can talk to CSG and b) I can trust with my stuff. Add the added complication from having bought the bike in Germany, and now I have a major headache on my hands.
Actually, thinking about it, I should have taken it to Scobles' place.
It's certainly made me hold off from snapping up a cheap crabon Trigger.
In the space of a week I've busted a brand new tub, found out my Lefty is dead, and now I have flakey SRM.
Maybe I should get one of those simple fixeh bikes

There's a big ol thread on Singletrackworld about them.

Hundreds in a box in the basement

Anyone successfully got raceblade xl mudguards on to a synapse? Fork shape is making the front guard impossible to fit and the rear one seems to sit pretty far off the tyre, but will probably work, albeit looking even worse than mudguards do anyway

Those are raw evil anyway. Discard. In a fire.
Crudcatchers or some PDW.
-
• #2996
Move the plastic arm that's holding the mudguard up and down.
-
• #2997
The rear one looks like you need to pull the right hand slider to the right slightly. I couldnt get a front raceblade to work on my caad9 it hit the gear cables.
-
• #2998
That's done the trick for the rear but can't see anyway of getting the front one to work
-
• #2999
PDW definitely fit? I did consider them but couldn't find anywhere with stock

Could do with bending the arm enough to allow the plastic clamp to sit at the correct angle of the fork.
Yep.
Such fail.
Am mighty pissed off about it.
