The FA have other things to focus on like their own integrity for one. While Dyyke remains, can we really believe in the honesty of anything they do or say, their appointments, their cup draws, their refereeing and their disciplinary procedures?
As you say, it will be dismissed on appeal and so it is wrong.
Meh, £50k fine is meaningless to someone with those wages anyway.
1 match stadium ban slightly more annoying, but I'm sure he'll have a way of working around it (ah, it's suspended anyway). He'll get that reduced upon appeal more than likely.
Deducting points is the only way you'll stop this kind of thing if it becomes more prevalent and really needs to be stopped. I don't think there's much of a problem with it anyway although the FA have to be seen to be doing something against someone calling into question the quality of the referees (which, alongside the ability to painfully review each decision in slo-mo for hours after the fact, is the main problem).
