Anyone have any idea if I need planning permission to widen a door way in a dry wall. Not sure if I have asked before. Only widening it a foot. Need to sort out my bike cupboard too.
You don't need planning permission for internal changes. You may need building control to sign off the works, if the changes are structural - ie if the doorway is in a supporting wall.
And where would I get that? Doubt it's a supporting wall as its drywall and crap. MIght buy lots of plywood this weekend for a cupboard build/fit. Anyone have any experience or resources/tips for such a product? Basically going to be filling an old boiler cupboard with shelving/draws.
