  • Yentzing season starts when your football season ends. For some that's half an hour after kick off.

  • Mark Halsey - former referee and Chelsea hating scum:

"As for what Jose Mourinho said about only him being punished by the FA, I think he's right."

"Bolton boss Neil Lennon was recently fined £3,500 for saying: "I've never seen a more biased performance from a referee ." - "What Lennon said is far, far worse than what Mourinho said and I think he got a £3,500 fine."

"Im just as miffed as Chelsea and Mourinho because the punishment far exceeds for the crime"

  • Who cares though

  • really needed that win and villa literally gave it to chelsea, was pleased to see RLC start and thought he played well.

  • Listening to corny's favourite podcast last night on the ride home from work, I almost swallowed my tongue in laughter at Amy Lawrence's theory that Henry is being groomed to succeed Wenger at Arsenal...

Him and Mourinho could have an epic touchline 'shrug-off'...

  • Wenger: "Haben schon große Bayern-Teams geschlagen"

  • Meh, £50k fine is meaningless to someone with those wages anyway.

1 match stadium ban slightly more annoying, but I'm sure he'll have a way of working around it (ah, it's suspended anyway). He'll get that reduced upon appeal more than likely.

Deducting points is the only way you'll stop this kind of thing if it becomes more prevalent and really needs to be stopped. I don't think there's much of a problem with it anyway although the FA have to be seen to be doing something against someone calling into question the quality of the referees (which, alongside the ability to painfully review each decision in slo-mo for hours after the fact, is the main problem).

  • Bayern fans skipped the first 5 minutes of the match in protest at Arsenal's prices

  • And were applauded by the Arsenal fans when they arrived, apparently.

  • after a nervous start Arsenal are fully in this game against Bayern on the break, pace of Walcott is frightening them to death, pity he can't finish for toffee..

  • Dat Neuer save

  • enjoying owen hargreaves as a pundit, very strong views, nicely told

  • best commentary of the night so far
Stuart Pearce - "what a wonderful pair of brothel creepers Rebrov is wearing, fantastic"

  • thought it was two otherworldly saves by Neuer, but a great breakaway last minute goal by Ozil...

Arsenal playing like Chelsea/Inter under Mourinho, concede the possession, hit on the counter, had something like 29% possession for the whole match.

Giroud, knowing nothing about the goal, would have been unlucky for it to be ruled out for the touch off his hand...

  • hats off to Arsenal that is a great result.

  • Moronhiooo everytime they guy opens his mouth I just want to rip my fucking ears off the side of my head and eat them.
SHUT the fuck up you whinging cunt

  • he needs to concentrate on his own imploding team

  • I feel the same Mike. About everyone.

  • Still high.

  • Congrats. Really great game.

Totally had you down for a loss. Do you have to win at Bayern to have a chance of going through still?

  • FA have to be seen to be doing something against someone calling into question the quality of the referees (which, alongside the ability to painfully review each decision in slo-mo for hours after the fact, is the main problem).

I reckon something along the lines of the way Rugby does it. Have an official with access to the slo-mo/multiple angles footage.

  • Never gonna happen - Blatter will never allow that.

  • Or they could just refer to Moronio for all decisions. Much like the way SAF used to draw up the Premier League schedule

  • German fans are ace. I went to a Dortmund game at Arse once, they were amazing.

  • I reckon something along the lines of the way Rugby does it. Have an official with access to the slo-mo/multiple angles footage.

Yeah, that worked well for Scotland the other day didn't it.

Given how pundits can be arguing over decisions weeks after the game despite having seen every possible angles, including the press photographers pictures from behind the goal, and yet still can't always reach a consensus, I can't really see a rugby style TMO solving anything. There are places for technology to be used in officiating games and these things should be tried out, but you have to be aware that there is a vast difference between football and rugby. Football (outside of Stoke) is a fast, free flowing game whereas rugby is a bit shit and no one really cares.
