I saturated a big bath towel, my bib shorts, my bike, and created a meter diameter puddle, yesterday.
I dont actually own a fan, and have my turbo in a windowless basement room. This is not ideal.

Looking for a turbo for the winter months to do some training!
I got a budget of £350.
Which ones do you guys recommend? -

I'll ask this guy, he might want to join my fanclub.

And don't have any issue with disturbing your fellow house occupants.

Ha. You're allowed legally to make all the noise you want between 9-9 really.

That's really bad. Serious sweating is bad for your body, if you're sweating like that your heat management system is in overload. I bet turbo sessions are really hard and you struggle.
Get a fan.
Ambient temp isn't that important, but if yo've got a fan, your body can cool itself. Think about the difference between riding along the flat at 20deg and riding a slow climb at 20deg, where there is not wind.

It's rubbish.
I used to set decent power numbers at my last place. Now I'm just happy to get through a workout with minimal defeat.
I drink 3 liters of water an hour.
Im currently using the turbo to add short low impact workouts to my rest periods. But as soon as I start needing to really use it, I'm going to have to fix things.

^sounds bananas.

@Smallfurry - If you do nothing else today, order a big fan.

Isn't smallfurry basically a solid rectangle of muscle with eyes on? Generating heat is basically going to be his superpower.
You should skip the fan and get yourself a wind tunnel instead.

On it.
The window less basement room I'm set up in also contains the boiler. It aint Cold in there.
Must be a cheap time to buy fans in Norway. It was 4C on last Nights ride (still better than turbo-ing).

Just have a day off like normal people.
Fuck using a turbo for recovery. You mentalist.
-
• #946
Rollers for recovery. Or just roll around and go to the shops and stuff.

#945
Substitute turbo with rollers.

I dunno. Coach says; I do.

My rollers are on loan.
Plus my rest periods are when I have the kids. Although I do take them out on the family bike. It's just easier to jump on the turbo when they have their video game time (I'm a strict git with video game time).
Might get my rollers back actually.
Been a while.
To be fair you shouldn't be sweating on a turbo. If you are, get a bigger fan. And a towel to wipe your brow. I wear a sweat band.
