Downtube is bent
So are the seat stays, obviously one of those crashes where the bike got rear-ended by a car which propelled the bike into the vehicle in front with some force.

not had a chance to cycle it yet, thanks for the us tip, may contact for info
If it's gritty or the lock-out is dead or if it doesn't hold air (the valve is on the underside of the crown) it will need TLC. TF tuned are the UK people but they won't touch stuff pre 2006.
the phrase "tearing the arse out of it " springs to mind
Extra digit added to price by mistake.

This is coming along nicely. Took it out for a spin last night and it's great fun. Feel much more like I'm sat in the bike rather than on it. Weighs a healthy 12kg but doesn't feel toooo slugish

Thanks to this guy ^ I finally found a worthy frame for my parts bin full of Paul and White industries etc. Will try to keep it as Murican as possibly as the lovely frameset is handmade in america. SO light for a steel MTB frame.
Gonna be lulz 650b rim brake build possibly for some tumblr action ;)
Lots of room for wider tyres too! Might put some bigg apple/super motos.@plexarice it would've been too small for you

I already love that. Needs silver Thomson seatpost.

silver Thomson seatpost
Conflicted with colour choice given brakes, RD, headset, saddle, shifter gonna be black .. cranks, wheels, bars, levers are silver .. if silver seatpost going to work then i'll probably get one of those GUB CNC ones off ebay. Unless I find thomson cheap.

It got a silver cockpit, it'll look decent with a silver seatpostand black component.

super! now all i need to figure is a square taper BB that will work with white ind cranks in this set up and a cheap chaincatcher thats not too bulky
-
• #104616
I have this on my 1x8 mtb.
http://n-gear.com/whatis.htmlTechnically meant for multi chainring setups but I just mounted it higher up.
Cheap, neat, lightweight.

I think 113mm, however it depend on the chainstay clearance.
Do you have any bottom bracket lying around? (any Shimano UN55 will work perfectly).

Glad it'll finally get built up.
On other news - I hate hydraulic brakes/ TRP Hylex.
The hose was disconnected from the caliper on one of the brakes, followed in instructions and when I tried to feed fluid into system it was going no where, built up pressure & then sprayed mineral fluid all over my kitchen. Going to bike shop tomorrow - they can make it all ok

I have never really 'done' square taper .. nope :(
-
• #104620
it easy, just don't fuck it up.
Best to hand it to a LBS and they'll easily figure out what bb length you need, quite likely to be 118-122.5mm due to the chainstay clearance (which admittedly look fine).

Wheels for my parallax finally turned up! pretty happy to get the crabons off.

• #104622
They look real nice, doesn't look like TB14 is it?
-
• #104623
Yeah, TB14's, I'd originally ordered silver hubs and anno grey rims. Can't go wrong with all black everything though
-
• #104624
Silver hubs and grey rims would look awesome, either way the black suit the bike better.

Nice one :)
I was thinking to do the same!
650 or 29?
