In future I will try and give it a bit more time to do its thing, have to remember that it won't focus as fast as my 5d...
What I meant to say is that (iirc) the mju-II won't fire if it hasn't obtained focus successfully - meaning that unsharp pictures will then be a result of camera shake / too slow a shutter speed in low light without flash.
If conditions are good it actually focusses pretty fast and accurately I've found (not as instantly as a 5D though).. -

If I decide getting the equipment my self I also need a scanner for 35mm (probably medium format in the future as I want a Mamiya 7 one day)... Which one can you recommend?
answers, anyone..?

You are making me thing there might be something wrong with my camera. It is definitely the focus which is the issue. Here are some examples. Looking through there are actually quite a lot of shots like this, just counted 29 over 3 rolls..... not good

I made a bid for a Canon 9000f on eBay. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Canon-CanoScan-9000F-Mark-II-Flatbed-Scanner-Used-once-/191718761910?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE
But I am also going to build one for my dslr. Working on drawings as we speak... -

Proper scanners for 35mm, 4.5x6,6x6, 6x7 etc are very expensive, even professional photographers don't have it.
Come down from the moon and just go in one of these places where they rent it. You need to learn how to use it. Theprintspace in kingsland rd use to have the drum scan as well. Not sure now what is on vogue, though.
Good luck for the entire process.

The best places to hire a proper scanner (Imacon Flextight) are Scan Unit and Photofusion
Sadly Scan Unit's scanner is currently being serviced, but the Photofusion one should be available. Once you've used a Flextight and FFF files you're unlikely to want to use anything else.

Imacon Flextight Hasselblad yes.. it's drum, and it's the same that I used at Theprintspace, a while ago.
Before that I used to go to Calumet, in Euston. Nearby where I live.Actually I see that the prices have dropped, still expensive though.

+1 on the flextights. I have been using them recently archiving the majority of my negs during my time at uni and I don't think I will ever go back to scanning with anything else. They scan decently quick too but the only con I can think of is the lack of batch crop scan like on the flatbeds

Shitttt, sad as the other pictures are so good. Currently developing a black and white film I put through it and will compare. If it does have a problem it might become my pound land/budget processing camera. Luckily I bought it for a cheap price

Great light on that desert shot
Thanks!
The film in the Canon is Kodak colourplus 200.
No, as in a lot of the shots were just completely out of focus. If that's true that it's a bit odd. In future I will try and give it a bit more time to do its thing, have to remember that it won't focus as fast as my 5d...
