Coolio, hope it works.
The Boys, hm, it's OK but not as deep I feel. Should re-read though.
On that LEL somebody complained in the library that these books were left for kids to find. Sure, that's how we all learned about nudity/sex anyway when we were young.
Ow, yes, I'm old...

Hmm. In the top right corner, that looks an awful lot like a hugely powerful space-weapon built into a massive space station. Hasn't Star Wars done that twice already?

• #11907
Where the hell else are you going to put your planet destroying space laser?

lets hope they've remembered to not include the glaring design flaw that allows it to be destroyed by a plucky band of space christians. twice.

The premise sounds quite interesting, what made it unpleasant?

There was a 24 hour live webcast of new toys being unveiled last month!
Now they have Disney behind them the merchandising will ramp up, no-one is as good as them at exploiting every conceivable avenue for generating royalties from your titles.

You would have thought that, after two failed attempts at making a planet-sized weapon, they wouldn’t make another but it looks like the new bad guys - the First Order - have designed a new killer planet, this time called the Starkiller base.
Unlike the Death Star, however, this isn’t a mechanical planet: it’s an ice-planet turned into the First Order’s stronghold. According to the Star Wars data bank, it has a “fiercely destructive new weapon capable of destroying entire star systems”.

That's no space station. It's a moon.

He murdered his girlfriend. I'd say he's downright awful.

It's not really as surreal as the trailer made out; I get that it's supposed to be weird but there's just a pervasive air of unnecessary nastiness that I couldn't get through. I was engaged for the duration of it, so it's perfectly watchable and quite tight, just very much not very nice.

Harrison Ford looks really odd in the poster for The Force Wakes Up, like he's taking the piss:
coming to AMC soon.
