Saw some awful club riding on a ride up here called 'Spadger's ride'. It's a memorial ride for a yound rider who died and loads of Yorkshire clubs ride it. Considering that it's a charity set up and just about tolerated by the public, you would think people would ride it with a bit of consideration. It was fucking disappointing to see Liverpool Bravehearts cutting up a Sainsburys van at a junction, I'm amazed he didn't take a couple of them out. Also watched 'Beverley Knights' being absolute dicks all the way round. Holding up traffic, riding into oncoming traffic through villages, crossing wheels etc etc. Didn't help that they got dropped on every hill and then forced through on every flat.
Anyway. Very specific rant, but people seem to let their mob-mentality override their sense of 'I'm representing my club, and this huge mass start event, I should probably behave.'
Looking forward to my new club kit arriving so I can reign in some of my swearing at dickhead drivers/cyclists.
