Previous owner removed all picture rails, plaster ceiling roses and all cornices apart from living room.... They also removed the original pine doors and replaced them with sliding doors which wrecked the door frames and meant there was a massive cavity above the doors where the runner was installed. I'm trying to get everything back like original.
New picture rails were attached with coving adhesive with a couple of screws on each 2m piece to keep them in place. Curved walls have flexible picture rail which was pricey, but we could not get wooden rail to bend enough, even after slotting it and wetting it.
