  • As croft says it's grim, but there is a bit of an action film element with lots of people getting shot etc. so it can work both ways.

    It was interesting as it looks at two political sides, a more liberal one and a more right wing one to over simplify. You can sympathise with either 'side' and I think that's why I liked the film - it didn't try to moralise about what's going on a massive amount, but left you to consider what was right or wrong and is certain action justified. That might have been a marketing device to get more people to 'enjoy' it.

  • The way you describe it makes it sound like one of those Fox news things where they get "experts" from either side and then shout over them :p

    It could be a shady mass-appeal tactic but I'm intrigued enough to go see it now.

  • Re Sicario, the marketing reminded me of Elite Squad. Which admitidly is a bit more actiony in parts but a lot more political. In any event, not the naff GI Joe spin-off the name and posters led you to belive.
