  • Really enjoyed Sicario. Great cast including Parking Pataweyo (took me ages to place him - his American acent was too good for my ears). Like Benicio Del Toro and he was good in this. Some great music and cinematogrpahy in parts.

Not as tense as Everest (which is great in a depressing way) but as grim in parts.

  • Grim as hell. Not a teen action film. More dead bodies on screen than live ones.

  • I thought Sicario was excellent.

Seriously grim and depressing. Went with my better half and it pretty much killed any conversation for the rest of the evening.

Guess it also depends on your mood when you watch it.

  • As croft says it's grim, but there is a bit of an action film element with lots of people getting shot etc. so it can work both ways.

It was interesting as it looks at two political sides, a more liberal one and a more right wing one to over simplify. You can sympathise with either 'side' and I think that's why I liked the film - it didn't try to moralise about what's going on a massive amount, but left you to consider what was right or wrong and is certain action justified. That might have been a marketing device to get more people to 'enjoy' it.

  • The poster makes it look like an action film aimed at teenage boys...

Saw this on an advertising column yesterday -
