hope we see a bit of this
    Good luck with that

I think some of you are getting twisted: Brendan was very guilty of playing politics. The feeling amongst a lot of fans is that the committee buys were decent but BR's buys were not so good but to justify himself he'd bomb out their buys in favour of his own when it was plain as day they were bang out of form or gash- irrespective of how well others did. They're worth a challenge for top 4 at the very best.

Just had dinner with my Liverpool supporting mate. Grew up in rural Hampshire, lives near Canterbury, has indoctrinated his son into the ways of the Scouse. He's at peak expectation on the hype cycle. Was genuinely telling me they've a chance of the title this season.

I needed @Multi_Grooves on hand to knock some sense into him.

    Just slap him.

  • Was genuinely telling me they've a chance of the title this season.

In that case, we have as much chance as they do.

  • I can't see Klopp succeeding. He won't get the time.

  • Hang on, is that a German time joke?

  • really really bad news

  • I hope we are able to recall Marcovic

  • Is your season over already, Mike?

  • Shouldn't you be worrying about your own joke of a team and gobshite manager who has clearly lost the faith of everyone at Stamford Bridge apart from the deluded fans?

  • What, me worry? Pfff... I'll leave that to you bedwetting clowns...

  • here is a cartoon depicting mourihno's mind games

  • @daemoe

You worry with the sky generation mindset. But the ownership were more than generous with BR'S tenure. Klopp only needs to show a plan and some progression. If he's axed early LFC is officially a footie museum.

    @mikec
You can see the politrics of BR that Illori has been shipped out having never played for the first team despite being the player of the u21 tournament for Portugal. He's good on the ball and rapid. Hopefully like Teixeria he gets a chance.
@villa-ru: has he had much of a run out for you?

  • @Multi_Grooves define early.

  • before they win the triple

  • @MultiGrooves - he hasn't played yet. Tim (#sherwoodout) is citing lack of fitness from missing pre-season. Hopefully will feature soon, but who the fuck knows how we'll line up.

I presume Jose is looking forward to getting his mojo back after tearing us a new one this weekend. Villa - always happy to help turn fortunes around.

  • @mg
Nope. I worry with the shortterm mentality currently displayed around the world.
3 years. go. bang. time up.
    out you go.

  • Ings is out for the season.

  • Urgh. Two of our most promising players out with cruciate injuries in a week.

  • Mike, I never realised that you ever had faith in him...

...apart, of course, when you were crowing about how he was about to join Liverpool.

    As if he would.

  • BBC Price of football survey. Price of pies...

Who eats between 3pm and 5pm?

    Lunch, football, home for tea/dinner/supper/#ohfucknotthisagain

  • Tea

  • Mike, I'll tell you where the breaking point for Mourinho is this season, Champions league last 16 & to a lesser degree last 8. If he makes it to the last 4 this season he might scrape through without alienating the fans. Win the FA Cup as a consolation and WTF, a season to forget and no real harm done. On the other hand, the way this team are playing we could be battling relegation with Fat Sam in the dugout.

  • If you're had a liquid lunch and planning on a few pints before you get home, pie seems acceptable. Until you realise it will still be hot enough to burn your mouth until way after half time.

  • Before his three year contract expires. (Unless he is an unmitigated disaster of course.)

    out you go.

But you are ignoring the last bloke, whom despite ending last season horribly including shipping 6 against Stoke and a 3-1 loss to Palace at the end was allowed to carry on spending including £32.5M on Benteke into his fourth year. He's gone because the team looked no better structured than the day he first rocked up.

    "Judge me after 3 years":
    Where the filosofy, BR?
    Back 3 or 4?
You wanna sell Lucas (again) yet one injury elsewhere and he's played every game this season....all despite BR being the only manager of a top 10 european club of the major football nations that doesn't deem a defensively minded midfielder worthy.
Who is supplying Benteke's crossed now you've allowed Markovic (here for just a season) 50% of our wingers to go on loan?

There is so so much more but I don't wanna use bandwidth here bangin on about the past

    :-P
