Thanks for the heads up guys, thinking of picking one up but read of horror stories.

I think that there are plenty of horror stories in general for Chinese frames - but the Hong Fu ones have a pretty good reputation - and this frame in particular too.

^^ Just goes to show that the top frame manufacturer's can also fail in spectacular fashion.

No shit. Most lightweight things can break if you ride them into the floor at 50 + km/h.
Same applies to alu, steel and Ti. Everything can fail. -

Put it this way; I have ridden this for 1200 miles and I weigh from 80-ish kg to 66kg now. Everyday. In London. And in Surrey. Its still not broken. I dont think you can/should ask more from a £450 uber-light carbon frameset. Thats almost half the price of CAAD10.

Very impressive...good results from a frame that has probably had very little r+d.

Is this still going strong Erik?
New frame time, I've broken my Tarmac :(

Yeah Mark! Its been amazing. No complaints what so ever. I got a bit of a click in the bottom bracket that I first attributed to the frame but it turned out to be dirt in the bb threads.
Frame is at 26,393.1 km as of writing this and Ive had it everywhere from tarmac to gravel to road bikes offroad cx trails.
Attaching frame of the build when the matte paint was still in a decent condition for posterity ;D

Not very likely I think. Hongfu has a pretty good reputation.
