No longer has quick release wheels and has schwalbe marathon plus tires

Please keep your eyes out, love this stead.

  • I just found saw my bike that was stolen a few months ago. I followed the lady to her work and spoke to her. She gave me her number and kind of says to come back. I filed a police report when it was stolen and have a video of it being stolen 2 from my work, 2 minutes away from my work.

    What do I do now?

  • Stolen Sunday night from my friend's garage in St Mary Cray, appears they had been watching him as the bike was the only thing they stole.

White S-Works with Planet X wheels and full Dura-Ace with ultegra shifters.
Would appreciate keeping an eye out - already looking in all the usual places. PM me if you happen to spot it.

    Thx

  • Anyone have a wheel stolen on Friday night in Camberwell? No sign of a bike so guessing a thief ditched it. It doesn't appear to be very valuable, but I'd rather it gets back to its owner than taking up shed space.

  • Will people ever start posting what lock/s they were using and how it was locked? or do they miss this information out due to embarrasement of using a £5 halfords lock?

This would be some very helpful information.

  • Was using one of these

Was locked to the rack, and through the seat stay, with the bottom part of the lock tucked underneath , that doesn't really make sense.

  • One of the guys from my club has had a brand new Pinarello Dogma F8 stolen between being signed for and passed onto him at his office.

It's a size 53 in the naked/red colour scheme. It was in a Pinarello box with black and white tape wrapped around it.

Not exactly your standard brick lane fare but if anyone hears of anything that's too good to be true please let me know.

  • my bike was stolen tonight, life can suck.. on the plus side it was my pub beater and a bit of a death trap..the brakes are rubbish, a pedal is seized to the driveside crank, the other has crap bearings. the right sti shifter is unreliable, the saddle is a cheap fake, the handlebars have crash damage, the headset undoes itself.. so with any luck the offender will find out the hard way.

  • What are good search terms when looking through ebay/gumtree? Adult Bike/Black Bike/Road Bike/Rose Bike..

  • ^ On gumtree's french equivalent, I looked everyday at all the ads from the region I live in. I know it's tedious, but it can pay off.

But, what I suggest the most is posting a stolen ad everywhere you can, especially on forums and private cycling groups in facebook, the thief won't have access to that unless he's part of the community.
That's what I did, and yesterday a few friends and acquaintances saw it on leboncoin. I contacted the guy straight away, pretended I was very interested, so we have an appointment this pm.. with the help of the police in undercover.

Really hoping all this goes well today so that I can have my bike back asap..

  • Also browse: http://www.bikeshd.co.uk/ as that grabs all of the pictures from new eBay and gumtree listings in London

  • Or findthatbike.co.uk where you can set the alerts and choose cities, regions or nationwide ;)

  • wow reminds me of an experience.. surely that's still the responsibility of the post/security room? I say that because when I got my planet x delivered to work, it was signed for by security in the post/security office and then I was informed (by phone), I went down a few hours later to collect ..and they couldn't find it so as you can imagine I went a bit nuts.
There was nothing in the signing book for me so they said "are you sure there is something here for you?" then basically fobbed me off with "if nothings in the book then we cant help you.." So I had to go back to my desk go to the tracking site for postage and show them "Andrew" had signed for it. Funnily enough no Andrew worked in post or security, long story short I looked around all of the basement and found the bike box wedged between two skips ..oh yeah CCTV wasn't working, maybe "Andrew" has a new job at your club mates work

  • So, came out of the police station a few hours ago:

So I met the seller earlier and when I confirmed that it was mine, 4 undercover policemen came to arrest him. Turns out he had bought it on a local flea market for 70€ and thought he could make a quick buck. He was honest from the start, but was detained anyway until thing were cleared up..
Too bad he wasn't the thief, but damn I'm happy to get my bike back!

  • Hey everyone,
Just had my Canyon bike stolen this morning from Fitzrovia (Soho). I have reported it to the police etc. They took all the details I had, even what I was wearing this morning for CCTV purposes. I don't have my hopes up that they'll find it but fingers crossed.

These are fairly recent pictures of the bike. When it was stolen it did not have the saddle bag attached and I recently swapped the stem out for a matte black one, 90mm.

I had it locked at work along with my other bike. The Kryptonite D lock wasn't long enough to reach around both frames so I just threaded the cable through mine. I should have known better! Lesson learnt.

I'd appreciate if you guys could keep an eye out for it!
