Got a frameset a few months ago and been afraid to caustic soda the seatpost so it sat around a while but finally got around to it.

Seatpost is almost out.

Got most parts waiting.

How did you end up getting it out? Mine (or part of it) is still stuck in the frame.

Sweet colour on that frame! Curious to see how this will end up with such a, uh, interesting project title.

Caustic soda + bluetac + old innertube + shower end/hose. It's a last resort, it's dangerous chemicals. It only works on steel frames with aluminum seatposts and it will damage your paint you can only minimise the damage. If you are in london take it into cycleps or similar first and get a vice on it, if you can break it free it's far far better.

Bikes aren't for selling, the idea is to get them all.

Seatpost is gone now, need a shim for the bars. Front rack doesn't want to play nice with the front brake so might have to swap the forks and put a v brake on.

Swapped forks to blue pompino ones to make the rack possible. Double stem+bars till I sort something with spacers+shim for pink bars, likely huge stack to give rack more space meh

Mount some lights on the top bar. Nailed it 100%.

Cut the steerer down, need a star nut them I'll be able to ride. Unsure how it will handle with the rack.

Went out on my first ride, went ok but front rack had a little movement so had to go back home to adjust it all. Now I just need a bag or something that fits the rack well.
