how can you tell? A friend of mine gave to me a while back and just said it was Italian threaded as he couldn't thread it into his British threaded shell. I'll be honest, I didn't think to check.

I'm not an expert, but all the Italian threaded bbs I've come across have had a shell width of 70mm, and it says bsc on it
