  • Ahh, I don't really want to be doing my job much past 40 anyway. Moving out of London and working somewhere else helps spread the economy further, or something. I-have-no-idea-what-I'm-doing.gif

  • Police. Contact the police. Even if the person didn't steal it, let the police sort it out. Legally it's still yours. End of.

  • Got home last night and realised the battery on my rear light had run out :s It was on when I left the office.

It was proper dark too :s

    Felt like a dick.

  • What @Sparky said, it's still yours. If you reported it to the police as stolen at the time, have a crime ref number and the bikes serial#, should be pretty easy to get back.

I know it's hard to without feeling like a dick as giving the guy the benefit of doubt that he bought it legit, and you are leaving him without a bike, but he can take it up with the seller, I'm sure the police would help him...

  • "'ere mate, I think you dropped something back there. Not sure what it was - looked squarish and black coloured?"

  • @Fyo Stalemate! Shit. I have no idea how I might have dealt with this. Hope you got their number?

  • Mate of mine got his bike stolen, it appeared on Gumtree 4 months after, went to the PSNI (Belfast) and they took it back for him. Same for a colleague of mine. As long as you report it, and have serial number records etc. should be OK.

  • Ride in today was vastly improved by a fellow cyclist who simply looked up and said "Good morning". That was nice.

The lower end of the ride was the motorcyclists using cycle lanes and blocking them.

  • two thickwits driving their cars into one another at the plender / bayham street intersection in camden. wee asian fella rightfully got in his car and sped off when the 7 foot double-y chromo pituitary case started throwing punches.

  • Motorcyclists... Happened to commute with a bad bunch of them this morning.. screw you, guy with the hardshell 'zombie apocalypse' rucksack

I also hit a pedestrian the other night (at like 2miles per hour mind you) he started crossing at the lights, which then went green, I thought he backed back onto the pavement but he was actually doing the samba (literally) and stepped onto the road again, sorry!

  • massively tall nodder one trying to squeeze massively wide risers past nodder two at junction at some speed.
Next to a left indicating car.
Nodder 1 hits nodder 2 with helmet dangling from handlebars.

this is clearly why we should all dangle helmets from handlebars.

  • Saw a guy with a helmet clipped to his belt today

  • First day back on the bike in 10 or so days. Felt good apart from the dick in his too-small lycra who kept undertaking me on his crunchy as fuck Raleigh. At one point put himself between me and a bus as it was pulling away. My shoulder check saved him from either getting flattened or pushing me out into oncoming traffic. Prick.

  • No cycle this week so far, hot and cold flushes all week, could be the male menopause come early, feeling really nauseous too, so perhaps I'm pregnant. I could just be ill, either way I miss the bike, cram packed trains are no fun.

  • ^ Ride it off.

    It actually really definitely works.

Unless it's the menopause or you're pregnant.

  • "manopause."

jesus people, come on. this stuff isn't hard.

  • this stuff isn't hard

    Yep, that'll be the manopause.

  • 9/10

  • Yep, that'll be the manopause.

    #muchrep

  • Maybe he's got a dodgy hip

  • Protect that ass.

  • Anyone used London Cycle Network Route 3 as an alternative to the CS7? What's it like?

  • Manflu surely?

Le Manfriend took a nasty bug, it's the season again. Don't forget to share at work :p

  • Bit's of it are ok, Larkhall is a nasty rat run if I trust what I'm told at meetings.

  • Better as there's a lots less traffics and HGV.
