They asked for 155£ but after a bit of haggling got it for 100£

Why are they're asking money when they cut the original fork too short? or am I missing something?

I cut the fork myself cause there is no proper bike shop like yours in my local area. If I get some time this week I am coming over there for a bb fit on a snow leopard.

While the stack height of the Chris King GripNut is higher, the lock nut and adjusting ring are one piece as oppose to two pieces like your (as illustrated in the picture).

Meaning you should be able to use the existing fork.
