  • Yes, headtube and stem faceplate!

  • Reminds me of...

  • Ah, happy days.

  • It does doesn't it!

That's the better side of the 90's than @dammits trackie top certainly.

I grew up on those hacienda myths and legends in the North West, but sadly when we were old enough to sneak out into town it had deteriorated into the Salford gangs drug hole/meat market/fighting den.

  • Haven't read his book on it, I bet it's full of daft stuff. I didn't realise that he still owns the name and leases it to the people who demolished it to build flats.

He also said that on the last few year of its life that he reckons it lost about £15millon quid.....

Considering I regularly get the piss taken for having a very 'Manchester' music collection, the #threadderail (I see what you did there) is quite apt!

  • +1 to wasp and BR blue

  • I am colourblind but this blue is more Eighties like the train.

  • Yeah exactly, lots of daft stuff in there, yeah he would be x times richer had it not been for the money pit that was the hacienda.
    @fussballclub very appropriate

  • It probably is, the BR blue never comes out in photos and it was also prone to fading on some rolling stock too.

It's another apropriate pointer to my tastes and interests too.

@TPR ha, I bet he would be, I'm sure he's made up for it the amount of bands, clubs and bizarrely - uni degrees - he's had a hand in.

  • Just repaint every time it fades a bit, then paint it NSE toothpaste

  • :) That or SED Jaffa Cake

  • Matt has started the forks, which look amazing I must say, the Max blades & Crown plates look mean!

He's also turned the bosses for the brake mounts and taken the piss out of me about the train based paint. He reckons it can work well without sullying his reputation, so I'll leave the finer design points alone.....I was just about to cave and go standard Black & BC as well.

@damon has also been recruited to knock up a connector for the wiring loom in the seat post, so it can be removed to put the SQR clip on etc.

Other parts have been assembling. So far th efollowing has arrived.

    • Both Rims
    • Dyno Hub
    • Rear Hub

  • Damnit these are hot.
    Flatmount disc?

  • Matt has made some custom bosses for the Caliper mounts. Spyres are going on and I don't think they will go on a flat mount?

    I will ask...

  • Then I'm maybe just to blind to spot the caliper mounts? Or are they not on yet?

  • seriously, these are the nicest forks i have seen in ages, only just spotted the inter cable run for the brakes!
