Lighten up man. Anyone else might think of you as a bit churlish. But lets be full of the positive vibes we expect from considerate cyclists. Come on Chiroshi be happy, enjoy life, love the ride and say "Alright it's cool and it's responsible, the rack and bike were together on a long journey form a far away land and its right they should stay together for both their future well being." Like Pixie and Dixie so dont be a Mr. Jinx and let them be.
