Cable routing at the rear with a V should be a doddle. Did you cut the outer cables? Use anything to ensure the end was nice and open and free? I have a set of Bikehut cable cutters that have gone blunt now but I keep them around as they have a fold out spike that's good for opening up the end of outer, pushing back the wee tang of metal you sometimes get.
Nah I mean there's a rattle when it releases. The front one is fine it's just the rear. It feels like a lever/cable problem more than a brake one, but will investigate further tomorrow.
I wonder whether it's my routing after the cable leaves the rearmost guide.
