I think the first half is framed in a way that purports to be drily stating facts rather than the unsubstantiated and biased gossip it clearly is.
The second part then neatly equates someone who is clearly batshit with Corbyn et al.

Yes I agree the first part does not quote it's sources. I guess you have to use your own judgement on the reliability of the Eye's sources on that one.
The second part does however quote Tom Watson:
Tom Watson, Corbyn’s deputy, told the BBC last week that the noble baroness would be “most welcome” in the new model Labour Party.
So yes, she is neatly equated with Corbyn et al, as you say.
