In an office of people who were into it I can imagine it would be amazing. Another good thing about it is that moves are irreversible, so once ships start moving from one star to another you can't do anything until they get there. That means if you set an attack up at 9am the other guy will have time to get reinforcements there and you won't be able to cancel the move. If you set an attack going at midnight though...
Just moved into the new flat after months of no permanent base. Can't wait to play again, got the n64 zeldas lined up on the wii u and starcraft II.
Has anyone played neptune's pride? It's a browser based space strategy which is played in real time (you get paid at the same time every day and ships might take a few hours to move/attack). It's amazing, my mates and I play every year before the academic year gets too intense and the rivalries/alliances/backstabbing is so good. We usually try and keep the in game identities secret so we'll be discussing the game wondering who the knobber is that's currently sending everything they have at you etc etc
