@Dammit - Higgs and James update?
Little tricky as I've been in Colorado this past week, however:
- Higgs is getting thinner, and is noticeably "springier", she's now making jumps which she would not even attempt (onto the windowsill for e.g.) when we initially shut the cat flap.
The food that (a fairly incredible number of) the neighbours was giving her was (of course) treats - Dreamies, that kind of thing, so incredibly high in calories, and Higgs doesn't know how to say no.
I'm not sure that we'll be able to let her out again, although maybe one of those collars that say "I'm diabetic, don't feed me".
- James is still very keen to escape, he goes for a run down the corridor whenever one of us get home, but does dash straight back in again.
He comes and sits on the sofa between the girlfiend and myself, and is very keen for attention. I just don't know if he'll scarper when the cat flap is next opened.
I'm tempted to keep them in for another 2-3 weeks tbh, and as I say Higgs maybe for good.
It it very nice having them both around the house after the long absence.
