  • Did you get that off ebay?

  • Privately, yes!

  • Quite like that, although the long stem is freaking me out a little....

  • Yeah it's technically too small for me - really need a longer, layback post but I think the stem will stay, it handles well and I much prefer a smaller frame that's a bit easier to handle than one that perhaps is the "right" size and feels large and sluggish.

  • Oh and it needs new chainring, cassette and chain.

  • BUGGER

Many thanks for your entry to our Autumn Classic 1 event to be held this Sunday. Unfortunately we are now unable to use the planned venue at Frith Hill, are unable to secure a replacement venue at this short notice and so have had to cancel the event. Please email us back before Friday 16 October and let us know if you are happy for us to move your entry on to Round 2 or if you would like a refund.

We are truly sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience that this may cause you, but hope to see you at Crowthorne Wood.

  • Boss just came back from there. Somber look for a whole day till asked what's up. He wants to leave London behind.

  • Boss just came back from there.

    Pfffft looks OK.

    WHEN ARE WE GOING?

  • That's got to be properly disappointing.

Was half thinking about racing but more likely just to come and watch. Good thing you posted that up. I wonder if it was down to problems with the army again?

  • Revolution looks pretty full on, I don't think I fancy it until I have a full facer and some body armour, Coed Llandegla is in the same neck of the woods and is a great ride.

  • Yeah gutted. Was really looking forward to thrashing the 29er for a couple of hours. Epping forest instead I think.

  • My mate is building a full sus 29er. Probably XC style.

I'd quite like to join him on his trail rides. But as his FTP is 100 watts more than mine on the road. I can see keeping up being painful on a fully rigid SS 29er. So I'm looking at building a budget bouncer. I was thinking 26" wheels as I'm barely 5'7". Then breaking down and selling off the Spot (sad face)

I could use the fatbike. But I've never owned a full sus, and reasons.

    Thoughts?
Any epic deals around on this defunct wheel sizesize?

Always had a soft spot for these, they were apparently very good.

Not sure 26" is the right idea though, how about 650b?

  • 650b?

    [citation needed]

  • I've never owned a full sus

I'm amazed really, considering where you live.

  • Is this an offer or a request?

I don't need bars or stems but cheap and well functioning deore discs potentially.

  • @Smallfurry why not just stick a bouncy fork and some gears on the 29er?

  • £1000 for a cannondale trigger still at pauls cycles, that's a lot of bike for the money.

  • I've just sent you a message on FB. It was an offer. Cuz I'm nice lyk dat.

  • My off road riding days were in the West Country.

Started off as a 10 year old riding down steep valleys on a BMX. The amount of broken steel frames, compared to few broken bones is amazing. Think we used to bounce better back then.

  • That's amazing. Was looking at it recently.

  • This is a bit tricky really.

Found a nice meta 5.5.2. Massive overkill.
Or a Turner flux. More sensible.

Not many untapered forks about though.

  • Holy shit WHAAATTTT??

Trigger is a burly, burly bike tho

Habbit would suit your needs nicely @Smallfurry, except it's a wallet crusher

  • Need to keep to a budget. Have to buy a fucking car (grumblegrumblegrumble.....)

    2006 Turner flux.
My 29ers hubs, bb, hs, and seatpost.
    120mm travel fork.

Except my rear hub is a trials hub. So I'll need to sell/swap that.

    Itll be outdated but fun.

    Like it's owner (badumtish)

  • In other news, it looks like the Jump Gully in Swinley has been 'closed' with immediate effect.
